Open seven days a week, it has created 16 jobs for the local area. The new opening marks Greggs’ third shop at London Bridge Station, reflecting the continued demand from customers in one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs. With around 55 million passengers passing through every year (one), it is an ideal location as we move into the busy summer holiday travel season.
Operating with a smaller footprint, Bitesize Greggs offers a tailored range of best-selling favourites, from Sausage Rolls and Steak Bakes to Sweet Treats and Fairtrade hot drinks. The Bitesize Greggs at London Bridge will also feature some seating.
It follows the successful opening of Bitesize Greggs locations last year at Sevenoaks Railway Station, Dartford Station and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. The more agile format is being trialled alongside its traditional, larger shops, supporting the company’s broader growth plans, reaching more customers in busy locations where convenience is key.
Tony Rowson, property director at Greggs, said: “This opening marks our third Greggs shop at the station, demonstrating the continued demand for Greggs from commuters and travellers on the go. Our Bitesize format allows us to reach more customers from compact units in high-footfall locations, while still offering a selection of our best-selling products.”
