The figures being bandied around food to go in the UK are somewhat staggering. A sector that’s now worth close to £25 billion is bucking every single financial business metric in a world that’s growing more expensive, and unstable, by the week. 

Factors behind this are numerous – but you cannot discount the immeasurable impact of Covid and how it changed people’s food & drink habits and tastes. 

So, in recognition of this, it was no surprise to see our ‘FTG Future’ special balloon to 18 pages. From the latest data and insights to salad versatility, Asian influences, elite sandwich producers, carrier innovation and more. 

It’s also our final issue before the Sammies. It’s a special event, with the Sandwich & FTG Designer of the Year competition in the day, before a glittering evening – 7 May at the Royal Lancaster London.
