A crunchy and practical product for a light and fresh toast with natural flavours. ideal for snacks, brunches and lunches
Ingredients
Cream cheese paste:
- 6 tablespoons of cream cheese
- (90 g) Sicilian lemon zests
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Toast:
- 4 large slices of sourdough bread
- Olive oil, for grilling
Breaded Chicken Steaks:
- 4 steaks of Breaded Chicken Steaks
- 4 slices of Emmental cheese
- ½ cup of tomato sauce (125 ml)
Garnishes:
- Leafy greens
- 2 ripe Roma tomatoes, sliced
- Basil leaves
Method
Step 1
Mix the cream cheese paste ingredients in a bowl and keep them in the fridge.
Step 2
Apply olive oil to the slices of bread and grill both sides.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 180 °C/356 °F and cook the Breaded Chicken Steaks in a tray for 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce over each steak and top with a cheese slice. Cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Apply a layer of paste to the toast, add the leafy greens and tomato slices. Place the Breaded Chicken Steak and finish with basil leaves.
Serves: 4
Prep: 20 minutes
Variation: you can also cook the Breaded Chicken Steaks in an air fryer at 180 °C/356 °F for 10 minutes , then add the sauce and cheese and cook for another 6 minutes.
