Built to fill a clear gap in the UK market, Mei Mei Goods makes bold, restaurant-quality Asian flavours easy to achieve at home through a simple chef-developed system – Base, Heat, Topper – designed to remove complexity, while keeping flavour at the centre of everyday cooking.

Co-founded by Michelin-starred chef Elizabeth Haigh and former Google retail leader Renee St John, the brand combines culinary expertise and operational scale with a commitment to building a business designed for long-term positive impact.

St John said: “Becoming a Certified B Corporation™ is an important milestone for us because it reflects how we’ve chosen to build Mei Mei Goods from day one – with accountability, transparency and a commitment to balancing purpose with growth as we scale.”

Michelin-starred chef, Haigh, continued: “B Corp certification reinforces the standards we set for ourselves across the business. From sourcing and production to packaging and partnerships. It keeps us aligned with how we want to grow.”

The brand partners with surplus food organisation Plan Zheroes to reduce waste, is a member of Buy Women Built, and works with women-led supply chain and production partners.

Environmental commitments include UK-based manufacturing, rescued ingredient sourcing such as upcycled avocado oil, glass packaging across the range and ongoing measurement and reduction of operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2: 486kg CO₂e).

The certification comes as Mei Mei Goods continues its national retail rollout via Ocado, bringing its range of chef-crafted sauces to households across the UK for the first time.

The idea for Mei Mei Goods was born in Borough Market, where the brand continues to maintain strong community roots. From day one, these have been central to how the business operates.
